Must be one of those hotshotters that run on the cheap........
bzinger, 86scotty, Deere hunter and 3 others Thank this. -
That looks like a 2 piece wheel that was loose. Container chassis?
Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
Pickup and trailers are common for busting studs.
That’s why some carry spares in their tool boxes.
I’ve seen this a lot. They can only be removed and re-torqued so many times before they start getting weak or just plain old and weak then break off.
Or not torqued properly.PE_T, bzinger, Deere hunter and 3 others Thank this. -
8 lug, 7,000 lbs axle trailer pulled behind pickups.
bzinger, Deere hunter, Saltyoldone and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah I'd like to slap the idiot who rotates the tires at the local Ford dealer. Last time my 1/2" impact (rated at 1,200) barely busted the lugs loose.MACK E-6, Deere hunter, 650cat425 and 3 others Thank this.

AmodelCat:
that has happened to me too. 1,000 ft/lb 1/2” impact couldn’t get the lug nuts off.
Had to jump on a Johnson bar with my weight and some studs broke.
Brettj3876 and Deere hunter Thank this.
