This reminds me of when I was a kid building plastic models. I spilled some plastic cement and wiped it up with a tissue. My dad found it and like always jumped to conclusions. He roared at me accusing me of sniffing glue.

It's possible some sort of intervention may be in order.

Now this is no @Tug Toy @Hurricane69 @Isafarmboy or @SAR polish job. But for 0000 steel wool and some cheap polish I dont recall buying it's ok. Not a big thing but saved this from Pop's stuff. I think it was on a new 84 Pete he bough salvaged. As far as I recall it has been on every truck he had since. I can not imagine the times I used it as a work bench, lunch table or had to polish it. I could buy a new one. But we are gonna put it on ruff and all.

Anyone know where you can get these mounts besides Pete? They want 43 bucks a piece.

What about a piece of flatbar at each corner? Sandwich the top flange between the deck plate and the flatbar.

Or just 1 long piece of flatbar running from rail to rail at all 3 sets of holes so they can't spin out?

That's pretty much exactly how mine is on. It hasn't budged in 5 years.
