    People who are self-employed have a difficulty filing for unemployment online. I don’t know when these claims will go through and what’s the turn around time will be for these.

    I would imagine it's different for each state. I'm sure that any company filing as an S Corp that pays W-2 wages in a state which includes and requires a company UI contribution, would have an easier time applying for unemployment insurance right now.

    Oregon will allow me as a single member LLC, filing as an S Corp, to pay myself as a W-2 employee. However, I am not allowed to contribute to the UI fund and thus collect unemployment insurance. Other states will allow and in fact require the UI contribution.

    From what I have read, that rule is being suspended temporarily during the COVID-19 situation and is allowing folks like myself in Oregon to file for and collect UI with the $600 federal per week boost.

    It's suspended 4 months I think it was.

    Just about anyone can collect now.

    Unemployed wise.

    The PPP grant I received is for 8 weeks. Once that is completed and IF things continue as they are, I will apply for UI if needed.

    I got $1000 from the sba not even sure if it’s s Loan or not.....

    Supposed to get $1k per employee up to 10 employees..... I’m a 1 horse show so I got 1k.

    I filled out the application on line that was posted at the beginning of the thread.


    5 weeks into it and I get 1K whoppee.

    I'm the same way.
    Just showed up in my bank account.
    I got $2k because I claimed my wife because she is an officer in my LLC.
    Don't know if it's a loan or what. But if they want their money back, it won't be that hard to come up with.
