Apparently the PPP has created two new problems.
A Business owner managed to get PPP to pay essentially regular wages to her employees to avoid unemployment for them. What happened? They all got ANGRY with her. They DEMANDED unemployment for that nice 4000 something cash dollars a month. They were not grateful to keep slogging in the salt mine for ordinary wages.
I think if we try to reopen the USA with all the people on a sugar or make believe drug high induced money piles or mountains of cash each week... they are not ever going to go back for less than say 25 dollars a hour minimum. They rather say home and go back when UI runs out. PPP or not.
Biz owner shocked by angry response when she tells employees paychecks will resume: They see a ‘windfall’ coming

I will keep checking. The system might crash when small businesses that were left out last time will all apply at the same time. And they will since they are not able to apply for unemployment benefits yet.Last edited: Apr 23, 2020

I wouldn't expect it till sometime next week.
Don't know what time he signed it. But it'll probably take a couple business days to get it in the system. -

So, the bill has been signed. Now, they will most likely continue to process applicants who were able to apply. For the rest of us, the clock is ticking.
I’m not sure if there will be anything left for business owners who didn’t apply firsthand.Last edited: Apr 24, 2020
