Now we can all see the happy attitudes of LCT drivers. That dont sound nothin like someone having a good payday.

Yep, you're right. I don't know what the rest of the country is like right now as far as finding a job goes, but it's practically IMPOSSIBLE to find a driving job down here in Florida right now. It sucks enough as it is when the economy ISN'T at the bottom of somebody's septic tank.

well ACT, i hear ya on there not being any good jobs out there right now. Thats why i drove for them for so long. When they finally fired me because i wouldnt take in my rear-end like the rest of em. I felt kind of hopeless, but i found a job soon after that pays me more money, and i get to spend more time at home with my family. Sometimes i think that LCT loves when their drivers think that way. It gives Coty a rush to know he has you by the man-handle. Sometimes i think of how i could still be sitting around the country like a fool waiting on freight and i just want to walk in that dispatch and thank em.

Coty is pure evil. It makes me wonder how he combs his hair so that the horns don't show.

At this point I would take any driving job available. I've been out of a job too long to be picky. I keep baiting the hook but haven't gotten any bites.

Funny i wondered the same thing. I came to the conclusion that he cut his horns off and stuck em up his own rear-end. Heck, I dont blame you for driving for em, a man needs to feed his family. Just dont believe all that crap they shoot around dispatch that teaming is much better. Yeah youll be better off than a solo as far as your paycheck goes. But what about dealin with those flowers. Doing 16 stops up the northeast and you barely get any sleep because they put some poorly trained ####### in the jump-seat who will wake you up to unload 20 boxes. Ive had times where my 2nd seat took his shift and slacked off, then i get in the drivers seat and get all the "why you runnin late" messages followed by "whats your eta to final". Not to mention when its raining cats and dogs outside or its -8 degrees and your out there unloading a trailer for $5 a stop and .01 cents a cube. Than not to mention that alot of these flower recievers are nowhere near an interstate and your forced to drive on US highways, county roads, farm roads, etc. And dont even dare trying to drive team freight cause youll just be sitting at a truck stop in a freightliner conventional with another dude breathing on you and complaining about his financial situation. Keep fishin for a job here and there ACT. youll find something i promise. Never let one good LCT paycheck fool you into thinking you need to pack your pole and quit looking. keep on fishing driver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I see them running ads all over the place, they STILL need drivers. Some day they may really run out of drivers in florida. Many years ago, they were a fair place to work, like early to mid 90's. Used to be able to make big bucks there, if ya didn't mind doing the flowers. Oh well, sorry to hear they are so bad............

Yeah I know all about it. My dad got a job offer from them back in the 70s, when Lester Coggins was still running the show. He went to Alterman Transport instead. Things are nothing like they used to be. Gainey runs the show now. Flowers are a lot of work without enough pay. Solos often get stuck in truck stops waiting for a load, and half the time all they get is a short relay load from another driver who doesnt have the hours to deliver on time. Half the time they don't give you enough time to pick up or deliver on time with regular loads. It's just a really sorry operation all the way around. They don't give you enough time to pick up and deliver on time, then chew you out because your logs are screwed up. What do they expect?

Can not believe this Company still in business; they constantly post BK messages on QUALCOMM in addition to fuel mileages composition to deprive hard working drivers of their sleep and concentration not to mention harassing them with their DOT ######## practices and procedures, when you are on a re-start of 34 Off Duty status it means of duty period, you should not be no where near that Tractor and Trailer it their responsibility to guard and secure their equipment, driver should be released of all task and responsibilities period; I think they should honor and respect that; DOT and Federal Law Regulation in addition to refresh and re-train their Safety Dept bigotry Operations, by God;s name fire and replace top management personnel they are the main failure, I had been a T/T Driver for more than (30+) years and I have never seem such Trucking Business Operation like this one is... Well, may the Greatest of All Master Prevail and Judge Us All, Amen...!

Act, I've read a few of your post. I'm trying to sort out LCT/Superservice. They called me out of the blue wanting to know if I would come drive with them. Everything I read, good and bad is from back in 2009. Are you still with them? Anything change with ownership? Let me know will ya, I'm getting ready to roll that way in about two weeks.
