You see, I smiled at rattlesnakes and they bit me, and now I too am full of poison. I am commonly asked to describe my employment at Kivi Brother’s Trucking to which I can only reply; It was A vetted vacuous experience that embodies the resemblance of a flaming bag of dog waste.

Recruiting is something of what a hip new teacher tells you to get you to share what's in his bong in a van behind the football field. Cannibals are less man hungry. The company eunuch is at the head of dispatch which itself resembles a high school beer party before mom and dad unexpectedly show up. Upon visiting you will find each choking on their own lies spitting out the adventures of Pinocchio from their bloated purple tongues.

Management, emblems of the misbegotten and the rejected, last seen hiking up mount ego are poster children for the hysterically overt. Flaunting physical appearances and characteristics that are consistent with heavy amphetamine abuse they are published in Who's Who as "What's That"? They Effectively turn the sideshow of a three-ring circus into a freak show. Not even half as intelligent as they appear these comic book figures are branding a company image with what looks like things that all of us would first kill off in a terrible B rated horror movie. Honestly, I'm surprised that the country music industry hasn’t jumped all over this.

To be clear, I'm not saying that Kivi Trucking is implementing a bad business model. Nothing of the sort. All I am suggesting in my quite modest and reserved proposal is that by way of comparison anyone could take a broom, dip it in brake fluid, stick it up a monkey’s *ss, let it jump on a trampoline and it would write a better business plan on the wall.

Disenchanted, the stress does not change, and the mood is monotonous only emphasizing the main motif: dissatisfaction, disappointment and despair. Soon, we no longer question why we are numb, we are just numb until returning home depressed and disgusted. They will murder your spirit, drain your energy and corrode your character.

I look back in anger at the past year – THE MISSING PAYROLL, wasted time, THE MISSING PAYROLL, listless hours, THE MISSING PAYROLL, the seemingly endless days of waiting, THE MISSING PAYROLL, the daily futile talks and THE MISSING PAYROLL which only gave me the sensation of drowning in a sea of empty words. I am quite sure that there are those that have come to work to make my life miserable and they succeeded. This was my spring of despair, autumn of anguish and winter of discontent. It's slow murder, death in daily installments.

No company is perfect, certainly not Kivi, but not being paid for miles? Did you contact anyone in management, if so how did they respond?

Yea we are paid on percentage, you can end up with zero pay if you don’t haul loads, the next week you can end up with a large gross, depending on how you manage your money this may or may not be a problem.

I see them daily, in the Minneapolis area. As well as in Superior when I'm up there. I also see at least one of their trucks every week either north or South bound on 35 from Willims IA, on north.

I'm still with Kivi Bros, and I went through a rough spell out of one of their terminals when I first started with them. I went through the HR Dept, they moved me to another terminal and it was like night and day difference for me.
I have worked at too many companies in my 5 years driving , I decided that Kivi deserves more effort on my part to try and see if things can improve. I'm always on time,safe and hustle. There is always more information related to a sour post about a company. I have been there. Driver I hope you find a good fit. Times are tough right now for work. Kivi still keeps me rolling hard through this Covid pandemic.
Their relationships with many customers over the years is helping us to keep steady.

I dont take much stock in what bobtail members here have to say regarding a company...most rant and rave and never heard from again.
Which is good reason for for the membership tiers and the mods .

Just a guess but Kivi has very fancy equipment and as a truck owner I know that the unmotivated doesent cover that equipment cost .
We are in hard times now and the unproductive, whiners and picky wont do this wont go there will be the first lambs slaughtered.

Overall things have been okay here, COVID has impacted freight and a few of our customers have stopped shipping or are shipping very little.

I’ve had runs well over $2 per mile, and some under $1.50, though my bills are caught up and my stimulus money is in the savings account. A number of our drivers are sitting things out for a bit, but many more are working - these are challenging times.

@Very Metal did the right thing going to management, lol I love my DM, but a number of drivers can’t stand her. Fortunately we are not so big that we won’t work with good drivers.

To be blunt though, drivers who have been tourists or have been really high maintenance (they know how I run and not to bother asking me to take that crap freight) are not daring as well as others now.

With luck the country will increase production in the third quarter and we can get back to seeing more consistent freight rates. Ya’ll stay safe and healthy...
