The government shuts business and individuals down every day “outside of this mess” and never makes any of them whole.
Unemployment is an insurance that is paid by the employer.
Insurance is there to make you whole.

Give examples of the gov shutting biz down via new policies without making them whole.
Again...even the MOST conservative speakers agree that 1099'ers should receive unemployment.
You are alone.
Anyway...pointless argument because everyone agrees and it is coming....and I will take it.Tug Toy Thanks this. -
Don’t misunderstand. I’m filing for everything I think I can get my hands on.
But to believe we are entitled from the government for bailout money is silly. We should have our own bailout money.
Times have certainly changed and glad I’m closer to the end of my life than the beginning.
This is going to double our national debt, not that anyone cares anymore.
By the way, I listen to the same people you do during the day but they need ratings to make money too.Mattflat362 Thanks this. -
I don't think it will double it by any means....but yes it is going to suck and further send future kids in to birth given debt. I hate it and I have been sharing this site for 10+ years everywhere I am at every opportunity I get!
U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time
I am amazed the amount of people that I share it with that have no idea or no care..... -
The Gov straight up crushed the entire small biz community and if they want to go after someone for the money it should NOT be future US kids! It should be 100% China via debt forgiveness (or as I like to say it F U you are not getting a cent!) or straight up billing them for it!

I would file.
you pay unemployment every week or month or what have you. To cover you when you outta work.
Even if your laying your self off. Your still played off.
Just my opinion. I know I'm a simple man. Good luck on you decsion -
seeing how this seems to be being extended well past April 30th. I filled for unemployment. I applied for edl from the sba. They changed it from 10k to 1k per employee. 1k isn't going to help me at stay afloat at all. Applies for the ppp loan as well. However I doubt I'll even get a call back from application from chase. Open deck is pretty dead. So $450 a week is better then nothing a week. And maybe the governments extra $600 will kick on too? Who knows. I have cash reserves but thats not for sitting its for expensive break downs and repairs. My total overhead is around 2500 a month. That includes insurance, load board, food, home bills. Everything. Plus lots of creditors have suspended payments for 60-90 days. Just planing for the worst. Personally I see this last past summer. If it really EVER ends. I don't see the government just giving us back our freedom. But I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist government hater

Just an update. I got approved for unemployment. I get 1050 a week. Covers all my bills(business and personal) plus some extra. If I get approved for the ppp or edil loan I'll go off unemployment and pay myself the amount needed to forgive the loan ♂️
Gotta do what ya gotta do -
got approved for the ppp loan. So looks like I'll be coming off unemployment soon.
