Not reacting will kill us faster... You understand we've been at 2k average deaths per day for about 2 weeks now. Remember last month when we were talking about 4k dead? Well next month it will be 120k dead and that's under our current lock down state. If we just go hog wild and open up it will probably 150k or more..

We are now at Vietnam war level of deaths in a month in a half...

This isn't going to just go away.. The countries you now see opening back up are the countries who actually took it serious early on. We didn't.. China is now closing businesses again because they are already seeing signs of a second wave..

There is no economy if we have no workers...You can not have workers if those who go to work die or get ill.. This stuff is going to come back worse this winter.. We aren't even in the flu season anymore and this is how bad it is.. Think what it's gonna be like when it gets cold again...

Do you not find it odd that no other country's economy has collapsed but here in the US everyone here is constantly in fear of losing their job or if the economy will collapse? It's because everyone lives in massive debt instead of being responsible. No one learned a #### thing from the last crash they just bought and bought and bought living outside their means..

We live in the wealthiest country in the world but the average person can't go 2 weeks with out a paycheck must less 2 months...

How did this thread of useful discussion turn into another BS discussion on the over dramatized china crud? Sheesh, give it a break, it's getting real old. There's plenty of threads on here arguing that BS, go there and knock yourself out.

You guys will be OK, hang in there, this too will pass. Right about now, I think you're operating in the right areas. Seems like in the southern States the wheels of progress are starting to turn. Too bad the rates aren't where they could be, but hopefully that will change in time as the herd gets thinned out and freight levels increase.

I've learned over time that one of the key's to success is diversity, another is adaptability....

Here's a @sabal_logistics pix of the truck that I was going to use for a direct haul that I had lined up, but that's paused right now. Truck was to pull a 40' goose flat, net load no more than 15k, tare weight of truck/trailer approx 20k.

This is the truck @singlescrewshaker that I was referring to about fabricating the adjustable mirror extensions for OS loads.

I deleted paragraph 2 in post 72, as it was uncalled for. My apologies to @crocky

The agronomy outfit I'm doing some seasonal work for has one of those with a seed hopper on the back. That thing is a nightmare. I think it's an 84 with a small bore Detroit in it. I broke the clutch linkage trying to start it one day.

I don't doubt it, most of these were really abused during their life and it's hard to find one in good shape.

This ones a '89 C70 with 79k original miles and has never seen a winter salt laden road, thus is virtually rust free and in really good shape. Guy bought it new and used it at his marina solely to pull boats in & out of the lake, stored it inside during the winter. He kept good records on it and gave me the file. Picked it up for a song as nobody wanted it because it didn't dump. I put a goose plate and ball on it and fixed every little thing that was wrong with it. Still hope to use it, but if not I'll likely sell it. Don't really want too though, as I'll likely never find another one in as nice a shape as this one...

That looks like a fun truck to be honest.! In FL, you could run that as a daily driver, & no one would ask questions.. LoL
