No difference whatsoever for me so far. I've been working a steady 8.25 hours per night except for when I'm called in early for a meeting or pick up an extra turn at the end of the night.
I put in just about 43.5 hours last week.

I haul fuel for Eagle Transport in Richmond VA. We've been cut back from five days to four. Those four days are light, around eight or nine hours.

I just worked close to 62 hrs with my first Saturday out of the Anheuser Busch plant. Still busy bc I always ask for another load when I do my typical 8 hr run. Nothing g to do at home no gym bars etc might as well work extra.
Bakerman and Bob Dobalina Thank this. -
What DC are you looking at applying for? -
I'm in the health care industry. Moving to Trucking when things open back up. I'm at a health insurance company. They've cut out temps and claims examiners down to 30 hours a week. No changes to customer service. With only essential medical services being done, not a lot of calls/claims happening. I'm literally sitting 20+ minutes between calls when we used to maybe sit at most 5 minutes. So there are for sure impacts to people's lives.

Not for a long time.
Cold storage is being drained of meats of all kinds. In a few weeks your food lion will have to fight for that next delivery of meat. Which is normal times one of the most important of loads of all. -
There are many meat plants still in operation. Our outbound meat loads are largely unchanged, except sometimes the load is switched to a different plant, due to circumstances.

Not much has changed for me. I'm getting an extra day off each week from the slow down in freight. We've been so busy for so long I'm kinda enjoying the time to rest. I suppose I'm lucky to have a good customer that is sticking with me. He's had carriers calling him and begging for loads offering to take stuff for 650 that normally would pay 950 just so they can give their driver a load. Crazy times.
