    Predator antenna.
Strong WYO and KS winds and ice caused it to break off about 6" above the mount hole.

Found a replacement (finally).. took out the set screw and the whip stub is not budging.
I tried lubrication through the set hole.
Tapped top off whip downward with hammer.
Tried to twist to loosen with Channel locks.

    Nope. Ain't budging.

    Any suggestions? 20200428_104706.jpg

If it wasn’t bottomed out you’d have a better chance, but I would still try driving it down, then twist and pull up.

channel locks will just slip, vice grips will lock down on it

i'd try spraying PB Blaster from the top of the mount, then some into the set screw?

then as for the replacement, maybe as suggested anti-seize or even di-electric grease?

You can try unscrewing the top section off the coil...stick it in a vise to hold it, then take something and try to knock it out from the bottom...Worst one I had, I finally got lose just squirting some penetrating oil at the top where the stinger go's in, then after a hour or so I used some pliers and vice-grips, and just wiggled the stinger back and forth while pulling up....finally came out.
