my truck went in to 5mph derate with def light blinking and other Christmas Lights. After little checking i disconnected both def lines from def tank with engine on and not a drop of def fluid came out. Tons of questions, but
1. What should def preassure be in high preassure line?
2. Is def preassure line always under pressure or something turns pump on and off as needed?
3. If there is 0 def pressure out of def tank, is it pump or could be other reasons? Filter was replaced last oil change.
Thanks.

I did. A lot of interesting info, but no answers to my questions.
Kinda hard to watch videos while sitting on the side of the road. -
Well, I guess I know the answer to my first question
- DEF Pump Speed between 750 RPM and 1800 RPM
- DEF Pressure between 900 mbar and 1100 mbar (130 pis to 160 psi)
-
If you cant move try unplugging speed sensor.
-
Measure resistance of pump. Should be below 400ohms
-
I did unplug the sensor, it would've gotten me home if I had manual transmission, but because I have 3 pedal SmartShift, I can't shift past 3rd gear, even in manual mode.
I replaced dpf pump as closest shop is too busy to take me in, but it didn't help.

On those dd13s all you need to do to keep them running is to clean the DPF filters and most importantly the DOC filters with compressed air for 30 minutes each one. Then...reset the ash measure using Detroit link softwate. Diesel laptops leases it for $750 a year interface nexiq is about $150 on ebay....clean the venturi port holes using compressed air and brake cleaner...don't floor the truck otherwise is going to give you nox conversion efficiency low.
