So what you are saying is that you want .gov to force others to give you more money? That is one slippery slope right there.

I don't know what all the crying is about, honestly. I was talking to the wife the other day about (finally) getting the flywheel housing leak fixed and am kinda surprised that it isn't going to put us in a bind at all.

Yeah, the rates suck, BUT when fuel costs are only $0.17 - 0.25/mi compared to triple that pre-covid, the mileage rate seems more palatable.

I KNOOOOW.... someone is going to pull out the cheap freight mantra. But you have fuel prices that are from the 80's and 90's, too.....

If I was king, I would, since I can have it enforced.

DAT has a review system for brokers, it does nothing.

Doubt a second or third or even a fifth site Is going to matter.

are you against professionally licensing brokers?

and having a clearinghouse type government enforcement site for them?

it doesn’t cap their profits at all just.

Magna Carta took care of the monarchy by giving him 5 and twenty overloads in the Parliament centuries ago.

The problem is not the money, but rather the information. Brokers should not be the only keepers of load information when shippers need trucks.

Keep the government out of regulating pricing. They do enough damage already.

They already have to get broker authority, how is making them get some other business license going to do anything?

There IS transparency, you just gotta know how to ask for it.

you can own a trucking company without having a CDL doesn’t mean you can drive one of your rigs.

Out of the topic. Why were you talking to your wife about repairs? Does she understand trucks, parts and repairs, or is she simply just in charge of the budget?
