Id guess the megas saw what was coming and right away started undercutting in a huge way to keep their trucks rolling. Once the auto companies start building again and that supply chain starts back up they’ll be gone.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

The EIDL loan/grant doesn't go through a bank. It goes through the online portal which you already have submitted your application through.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Great!! Glad to hear that. Like you said before, never know, might just need it. At least it will shore things up, and allow somewhat of a balancing act. I’d like to spend a little time and money on my Truck, while it’s slow. King pins, fifth wheel, and little time consuming things. Try to at least get something accomplished, out of all of this uncertainty. The other option is race to the bottom. Looks like we’re already at the bottom. Timing will be key to survival.Scooter Jones and DUNE-T Thank this.

I received my PPP approval today through BMO.... Just awaiting documents. As far as the EIDL loan/grant I haven't heard a thing and I applied the 1st day it was available.
Scooter Jones, Midwest Trucker and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I have a good friend I kept encouraging to apply for the 2nd round of PPP money last week. He followed through. 1 man operation. Bank called him today. He was approved and will have money in hand within a week I suspect.
Those that are saying it will be a waste of time to try right now, and that nothing will be there anyways, are just flat out wrong.nikmirbre and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

For what it's worth, I didn't go to a mega. I'm at a medium sized carrier with dedicated freight. They're not hiring O/O`s, but since I did many years there as a company driver they took me on.
But it is still quite a blow to me. Before all this hit I was hauling fuel and chemicals making good money and only out 2-3 nights a week. I had PTO and pump and was really in a niche market before it all crashed. But I kind of enjoy being out on the road again. I can usually go 2-3 years before the malaise sets in..Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
