I've seen a bunch of ATI O/O rolling down the road. I'm in the DFW area. Anybody know anything about them? Also seen Clean Harbor ads for Owner Operators as I didn't know they even use them.
Basically I'm trying to see what Tanker companies might be worth looking into as an Owner Operator. Thanks!!

Asphalt is seasonal, it can get very slow in the winter. I definitely would go clean harbors instead of ATI. Had a buddy that leased onto them in 2017 in Channelview. He said it was a favoritism type of dispatch. And he sat around alot.

However CH hauls there on waste. I'm not sure if they require late model trucks. But they have newer trucks for lease purchase. To sign on as a o/o truck probably cant be older than 10 yrs. I got a buddy that's been there 5yrs as a company driver.

Actually spoke to clean harbors today. Hiring for dry van gig pulling hazmat totes, etc.. etc.. Want you to stay out for 2 weeks at a time which is not too bad. They pay for scales, tolls, few other things. Mostly drop and hook. Pay is $1.18/mile + FSC.
Got a newer truck, however it's a stretched flat top so not really practical for pulling Van's but may have to do something before too long

CH is pretty busy up in the tri-state area here. They pay their Vactor operators like half or 2/3rds what us guys make at Con Edison but we got the union pushing for that stuff, I'm not sure if CH has one up here. We do use them as a contractor to handle oil spills and they pump our manholes on company property since my Yard is considered a Superfund site from the 50 years of transformer oil leaking into the ground.
