75% of my loan will be used for payroll before I turn in truck. It’s all under control :)

Just to be clear, you realize the eligibility of forgiveness is going to be based on a normal 8 week average. This is why the lenders wanted verification from the previous 12 mos average of payroll, rent, utilities, company paid health, related expenses shown on the tax return.

For instance, not using the whole amount in a couple weeks as payroll draws, then closing up shop and going on the payroll of another company.

You probably already do realize that though ;-)

Many loopholes. I have last years 8 week period corresponding to this 8 weeks. We’re good

But I’m still a sole proprietor  My business consulting relating to my current work is just not doing well someone is only offering 10% of what I should make ;)

Never knowing the future I also put 15k from savings into a 2 year CD. I’ll make 6k off it. If I gotta pay them back, it’s all good

    God bless America

Everyone just wants to go back to work and let the chips fall where they will. Hopefully, money provided through the PPP and other options are a just a temporary lifeline which can help businesses & individuals stay afloat (short-term) until things turn around.

I remember back in 2008 when the housing & banking market crashed. As a builder/developer, I was washed downstream in that horrible downturn. The financial, emotional and psychological repercussions were devastating on my family.

I almost lost everything, including my marriage...

The shame and embarrassment I felt was palpable, when several months after the collapse, I went down to the local welfare assistance office and asked for some food/grocery help. I looked at all the ppl in line and thought to myself, I don't belong here.

I swallowed my pride, realized that I had contributed to the social lifeline for years and years through payment of my taxes, employing folks, sub-contractors, etc, and that I just needed a hand up, not a hand out. I walked out of there with enough assistance for a month. followed by a couple of more months of help, until I could get back on my feet.

It was a good feeling when after the third month of help, I contacted the woman who was working with me and told her to remove us from any more assistance.

This guy has been posting videos since the EIDL program started. He's using the crisis to promote and sell his own business program, some sort of business/real estate deal.

I wonder if you have anything practical, from personal experience related to EIDL & PPP, to add to the thread discussion?

Well folks who seem to think they can "outsmart" the loan officer and bilk the bank out of thousands of dollars with these loans are going to be in for a rude awakening IMO...

    Good luck.
