Yes she has got the fuel, just no spark. ECM spark.
Did you get anything sorted out with that odd noise coming from the ECM area? -
Not yet. Had a few other jobs I had to do Friday. Plan on hitting it first thing Monday.
-
ECM installed. No change.

Just pulled out the #1 injector and the bottom o-ring is basically gone. What was left is brittle. Going to try o-rings next.
SAR Thanks this. -
Is the engine getting fuel in the oil or coolant if the o-ring is gone?
You mentioned you have good fuel pressure.
Removing the injectors often times will ruin old o-rings.
While you are that far in, take all the injectors out and have them tested. New o-rings. If the customer is fine with that. -
I can't find anyone local that tests electronic injectors. The local Cat dealers (three different locations)gave me the following answers { our machine burned up, no returned call after several attempts, and then we just do a cutout test while the truck is running.} A diesel injection shop said they do not know of anyone local that tests them and another big shop said they know of no one that does it as well.
The o-ring that was partially there was very brittle. I will probably try the o-rings and see how it goes. -
Bummer
-
The one Cat location that did not return my calls finally did and said they can check them for me. It is up to the customer now.
Shawn2130 Thanks this. -
Well heck the guy just called me and said he is just going to park the truck again. Oh well... I appreciate all the help. Guess we will not find out if it will ever crank.
