Upper drivers side you can see a hook in a small half moon ring welded to the bulkhead. There's another one on the opposite hand.
Until yesterday there was a ladder across these and a 1" ratchet strap thru the ladder rungs and the strap hooks down thru the 2 bulkhead (headache rack) rings.
Yesterday pretrip I find....no ladder. My initial thought was that I lost it going down the road. Been racking my brain for a memory of a noise or anything....I noticed nothing. Now that's far too common for me LoL. But. Shouldn't there be at least one of the strap hooks left dangling from one side or the other? If the strap broke or somehow came undone it would only be on 1 side, wouldn't it? Ladder was there the morning before but not sure about that night. Honestly don't remember if I saw it or not.
So.
Opinions. Did I loose it on the road?
Or did I loose it after I got parked....? I was inside taking a shower for half hour or more...
Need opinions from experience

How long would it take for somebody to jump up there, undo the ties, grab the ladder and take off? Two minutes, maybe?
Some jerk stole your ladder.D.Tibbitt, alds, bryan21384 and 6 others Thank this. -
Someone figured he/she needed the ladder more than you did.
Lumper Humper, D.Tibbitt, Qbf594 and 4 others Thank this. -
It would be pretty hard to lose an aluminum ladder off the headache rack and not know it.
I lost one and it made enough noise to get my attention. It went off the right side, under the drive tires with broken off pieces hitting the underside of the trailer. Real noisy. -
There was a "10 finger discount" to help you so you wouldn't be overweight

Bright side, you can also count it as you did a good deed.
Because you know, you elevated someone higher then they were before. Helped them get a rung up on everyone else out there.
You were another man's stairway to a higher plane....a window pane that isn't his, but hey..details.
Think of this as a sign to write a new screenplay...I'm thinking...Lord of the Rungs:Fellowship of the rung,, could even do a couple sequels...Lord of the Rungs: The Two Ladders, Lord of the Rungs : Return of the Rung. I bet it would be an uplifting book.
Maybe the guy who stole it needed a step ladder, cause he never knew his real one.
Maybe a new religion? Church of Ladder Day Saints?
Blue Ladder's Matter...a fine cause.
Maybe the ladder thief had an addiction to getting...higher.
I like to put my liquor on top of ladders. You could say it really raises my spirit(s).
Sucks your ladder got jacked. People suck.
I'd apologize for my bad jokes but alas...I'd be lying.
Hopefully your sense of humor wasn't stolen also, or I wasted a whole lot of jokes.

Sirscrapntruckalot - I take no credit for the above puns. I found them on the internet. Feel free to thank me by building a statue.

Such a ladder to the answer on the mountaintop. Its stolen.
If it came off your rig at speed your world is going to end more or less in that noise and destruction. -
Its odd the binders didnt walk off.
-
I have chains and binders on both of our low boys.
No lock on them. Never taken.
Only thieves I catch with my chains and binders are the company employees.kylefitzy, cke, 650cat425 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well most thieves are allergic to work. Why would they steal heavy chains? That means they'd have to actually chain something down and work
Sirscrapntruckalot, cke, jammer910Z and 3 others Thank this.
