Omnitracs had another outage earlier last week. Thankfully, again, I was at home when it happened.

Continental, the manufacturer of Roadlog, is the largest supplier of ELD products in Europe, and has been for 30+ years.

I have run roadlog for 2 years never a problem also know others that use it without problems. The best part was no monthly service fee easy to use stayed with the truck now almost all other eld's you have to use your phone or tablet with expensive monthly fees.

I have run Keep Trucking on an older cellphone that the company owners had, with no plan, tethered it to my current cellphone and it worked fine. They were just getting into it and didn't know how things worked.

I don't know what the KT fees are. For me, any software that would run on a free phone would be first in line. Phones take up less space on the dash and if you already have it they cost nothing but power to keep charged.

Current employer uses the awful JJ Keller Encompass, that also works via tether when the company tablet can't find signal and I want to sleep somewhere out in the bush.

What does that have to do with visiting an ad supported website? You know, like 99.9% of the websites out there?
It's only an issue if the ads are annoying and intrusive.

I'm on a "free" site contributing content for free. There is a trade, if no one posted then no one would visit.

Visits count, therefore clickbait sites force visits to get information off your phone via scripts embedded in the page. Like your location, your browsing history, possibly your text messages and contacts. Ever why it takes a while to load? It's busy Hoovering your info without permission.

No technicallly aware person would bother with an ad and script infested site like that with almost all low value articles.

Except, of course, people who give their time and personal info away for free because they don't know they are doing it, don't value their info, or don't care.

I don't like Peeping Toms myself, don't hang out with them.
