    I found the old school of putting dish soap does nothing but strip the side of all lube and protectants allows the metal to rust faster and makes it rough with pitting and rust built up. There are multiple dry flim lubricates on the market that will let a flim of protectant for harsh winter weather conditions and make adjustments a breeze

    I use graphite spray or silicone spray lube the silicone does not attract dirt

    Be sure your Teflon slider pads are are in good shape and are still present and slider box and rails are not metal to metal
