Just remember that this country has no borders. That guy and girl may be completely legit, or they may have been offered a couple hundred grand to start a movement that gets govt invited into rate fixing and taxing.

Be slow to trust anyone about anything.

Well, i shoulda thrown in that desperation has no bounds. We expect it from drug addicts but everyone is vulnerable. Look how many trucks will pull for a loss.

Desperation has probably done more evil than greed.

I’m not defending brokers....but something like this video could be easily staged as mentioned above.

And I’m going to laugh when these fools get what they want and rates remain low. Rate transparency will do nothing but cause the big brokers to compete against each other once rates are all out in the open. And I can’t wait to hear these guys cry when the government decides to cap our profits also. Because if it’s good for one side of the coin then surely it’s good for the other.

I will defend brokers. They do a critical job and must be paid just like us.

There are good ones and bad ones.. Just like on our side.

A broker is a truckers partner. Synergistic relationship that makes america function.

Divide and conquer is how i classify any attempt to wedge truckers and brokers apart. Yes, we are playing chess with each other but chess is played amongst friends. Win some lose some try again tomorrow. Its just a game.

What part of broker job is critical? Most brokers, not all, but most just simple parasites. To see how much broker cut is simple post on internet you need to move freight from point A to point B. Read the quote. Open any load board and compare with rates.

Many shippers don’t want to deal with hundreds if not thousands of truck drivers. Much simpler and efficient to farm that work out to a broker. Plus no truck driver is forced to work with a broker, nothing prevents truck drivers from directly contacting a shipper and asking them for their loads. Undercut the broker and maybe you have a client for life. Problem is to many people are afraid to cold call or go out and meet new clients.
The only bad broker is a broker that does not pay for services provided.

If people thought truckers were divided before then watch out as these talks go on.
