When I was with Crete and Shaffer, I did try both divisions. I averaged more miles with Crete running dry van than I did with Shaffer running reefer. With the pay differential being a tad higher per mile with Shaffer, the overall pay between the two divisions was virtually identical. I have an old thread comparing the two. Most people would choose the dry van route if they realized the net pay was virtually the same. And my experience was a higher percentage of multi-stop loads on the reefer side.

If you really want good times, go to MM Mars in Waco load for Melrose Park NJ, MM Mars.

Back and forth and back and forth. Keeps a dentist or two busy.
