Where did they throw them ?
Did they do that just randomly or was it a group effort. Was it a conspiracy to justify the unreliability of the n-14. ?
Just asking for a friend .

I don’t know, but recall the Belts would just come off. Because of injector problems, I never wanted a Cummins.

tommymonza Thanks this. -
I like the older Cummins. My Dad had a 1995 freightliner with the M11. He put over a million miles on it with only a turbo change.
But that was back in the days when we had real diesel fuel. None of this watered down s***.
I used to drive a 2001 M11. Had 625,000 miles on it. Only had a turbo changed.
Then it started eating injectors. I don’t have the truck anymore. Looking back, I’m wondering if the fuel filters have been crappy quality. They were Napa filters not fleet guard which I would rather have.
2 shops have replaced the failed injectors, I replaced 3. Then my boss bought a set of used injectors, these lasted longer than the ones that were rebuilt.
After 31,000 miles, another 2 injectors failed. A year later, the truck was scrapped.
My company freightliner had issues with fuel filters as well. Told the boss I’m getting Cat filters for it. Fixed.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Just go back with original V belts and not Cogged V belts which the dealer likes to replace them with..jsnell and Rideandrepair Thank this.

If you ever need an injector, make sure to get a PX injector and not a RX injector. The PX rebuild quality is WAY better!!!
tommymonza, jsnell, Shawn2130 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yes, I was in rush hour traffic in Fontana when I heard this whizzing noise. I could still drive it, so I found a mechanic on Valley Blvd and he diagnosed it right there. Found a turbo in LA and they delivered the next morning. This happened on a Thursday and I was rolling home by Friday afternoon and made my deliveries on Saturday.Coffey, tommymonza and Rideandrepair Thank this.

At how many miles did the failure happen?Bakerman Thanks this.

At about 1.3 mm. Mechanic said it was a bent shaft caused by too much back pressure, so when I got home I installed a new muffler.
To this day the $800 Chinese turbo is still working.HopeOverMope and tommymonza Thank this. -
The replacement turbo on the M11 I had is a Chinese turbo. It’s been a good turbo so far.
I have had some bad luck with chinky turbos in the past. I replaced a Holset that was leaking oil with a A&I turbo. That lasted 2 weeks.
Another truck, Holset replaced with a A&I as well, lasted 6 months.
The one that lasted 2 weeks was replaced under warranty, the second A&I is a good one.
The guy that sold the A&I turbos sold many of them and had good results so far.
Out of the three A&I turbos that I installed, 2 were junk.
So no more A&I turbos for us. Genuine Holset from now on.
I did buy a genuine Holset turbo last year for a 3.9 Cummins from China. For my project, so hasn’t been installed yet. -
I would say it's the quality of the high hp build. And something #### like a Pittsburgh pee pee box?
I know @OLDSKOOLERnWV is knowledgeable on the big cams062 Thanks this.
