As far as I know, it's dry van. I asked about Cali but they only run teams out west. They seem really really big on hometime and driver happiness. Here's some questions I had that are answered.

1.) Do you allow riders? Any age requirement? I have a 4 year old son who loves to go. Any wiggle room if there is no policy for him?
    >
    > We do allow riders. They must be 14 yrs old for our insurance to cover them though.
    >
    >
    > 2.) Where are you main running areas? Midwest and ? Any PA, VA,NC,SC, MA, North east?
    >
    > Our MAIN running areas are the midwest. However, with that being said, we do run other areas at times if needed. We DON'T do any NYC.
    >
    >
    > 3.) How do you address personal requested time off? My boys birthday is a big event and we like to have 3-4 days to celebrate it.
    >
    > Stallion is AWESOME about getting drivers home when requested. You getting home for your boys birthday would not be a problem! Just make sure that you let them know ahead of time so that they can plan you accordingly.
    >
    >
    > 4.) How are holidays handled? Mainly just the 5-6 major ones? I love my family and we're making a big change heading back otr with me being local for so long now.
    >
    > Christmas is HUGE for Stallion, as well as any other holiday that the driver wants to be home for. If you're wanting to be home, they'll get you home. And same as above, just make sure you let them know ahead of time so that they can plan you accordingly.

    > 5.) Do the trucks have apu or do you idle for comfort? If you idle, are there limits on how much you idle?
    >
    > We don't have apu's, but we DO have bunk heaters. However, they are set to idle on anything under 32 and anything over 70. So between 33 and 69 they will not idle. (remember we have bunk heaters and 69 and under is still cool outside)
    >
    >
    > 6.) What is the governed speed of the trucks?
    >
    > 68 on cruise and 65 on the floor. Once you've been @ Stallion for a couple of months and haven't received any accidents or citations, they'll turn your truck up to 70.
    >
    >
    > 7.) Is 2200 the minimum to expect for mileage? I will need around 25-3000 to keep our heads out of the water.
    >
    > There is no guarantee on the mileage. But our drivers average 25-3200 miles per week and home on weekends to do your 34. It all depends on how you run and work with elogs. If you're not familiar with elogs, we have people in the office (as well as our drivers) who can help you with maximizing your hours. And also, know that if you require being home on Fridays and not leave out til Sunday night or Monday, then that could also affect your mileage.
    >
    >
    > 8.) How much is the insurance with dental and vision for a family and for myself? Who is the provider?
    >
    > We just recently switched insurance carriers effective 5/1/16. The new carrier is Qualchoice. We have two different options for you. And I won't lie... family insurance isn't cheap. I'm working from home today and forgot to bring the new rate sheet home with me, but if you call me monday morning, I can give you the premiums for family. I do know that coverage on just you is extremely reasonable.
    >
    >
    > 9.) I have a chance to move about 60 miles north of Poplar Bluff Mo to a town called marble hill mo. Will this still be a good freight Lane? Marble hill is 38 miles west of I-55 and 30 miles east of us67 on us 34. I just didn't want to move and put my home time in jeopardy.. As you noticed.. Family is my life.
    >
    > Marble Hill, Mo probably wouldn't be the best location for us. We generally cut east around Sikeston.
    >
    >
    > 10.) Do you allow advances on the road?
    >
    > We do allow advances. $150 is automatically put on your Comdata card every Sunday. If you need extra, you just call in.
    >
    >
    > 11.) Do you have prepass?
    >
    > We do not have prepass. We just don't get messed with by DOT, so we haven't seen a need for it yet.
    >
    >
    > 12.) Do I route myself or do I go by routig and fuel stops assigned by stallion?
    >
    > You can do whichever you want. Just know that if you route yourself and go out of route, you won't get paid for those miles.
    >
    >
    > 13.) Do you ever travel West to Nevada, Colorado, Utah or Arizona?
    >
    > We very, very seldom go that far West. I don't know that we've ever sent a solo driver that far west. But I'm not saying that it couldn't happen.
    >
    >
    > Also, Our trucks come equipped with built in power inverters, refrigerators, they have 86" studio sleepers, double bunks, and all leather interior. They are sharp trucks! :)

My dad ran quite a bit for ronnie back in the 2000s and some in the 90s. He also ran for a really long time with Arnold brothers in batesville AR.

Did he? WHOA.... Im sorry to learn of this. He will be missed.

A clarification on Stallion's Position on Holidays, we are in a Judeo-Christian Stronghold. It is one of the reasons I picked Arkansas as my home. The People generally are very courteous and take a moment at the grocery store, mailing post office and churches generate traffic several times a week.

You can expect to be tested pretty often, we fight Prescription Pill abuse which does generate illegal herion traffic because it is in the same family of drugs many people use daily in this area. Pot is going up on the Election Ballot this year among other things as well.

I have more to consider. But at the moment things should be in order.

Thanks but this is stallion transportation group or STG based out of beebe, AR.
My biggest concern is this sleep apnea crap. I can't seem to get away from it. God forbid your fat and you might as well crawl under a rock and die. I've been recommended to take a sleep study at my current job and I have no desire to. I would know if I has sleep apnea. I'm the most energetic fat guy you'll ever meet. In the dot doctors and fmcsa eyes though.. I'm just another fattie waiting to kill someone as I fall asleep because I'm fat and have sleep apnea.
Sorry.. I like to rant on a subject when it's not even a rule but treated as such. Bad thing is.. My current company only has 20 trucks and didn't know about sleep apnea till insurance changed our physical doctor on us.. Bad thing is stallion uses concerta and I've heard they are bad about recommending sleep studies.

I see they are starting to run Volvos now, but they also have some Ext hood 389 Peterbilts, I am sure all of the old hands get the Pete’s. They always have ads on Craigslist here in Arkansas

    rabbiporkchop and localyokal Thank this.
