That's great. Did you read and comprehend all of my comment you quoted? This testing issue goes deeper than just negative test results. When you tested how long had it been since you last used? This is important because if the substance rapidly metabolizes from the body did you test clean, or did you test with a result under the cutoff amounts? These are the actual questions I have. I admit I don't know the answers either. Take my alcohol example. Did you know you could technically sit and drink a case of (average) beer over 24 hours and never have more than a light buzz after the 24 hours has expired! This is what I mean by how fast does this substance metabolize! This is important to understand. Take methadone, this substance stays in the body for up to a day and a half, some opiates will stay much shorter time periods. What this means is theoretically I could take an opiate and go do a drug screen and not pop positive because my body metabolized enough of the substance as to keep me under the cutoff amount, does this mean I tested negative? Would it mean that I could take a pill and 4 or 5 hours later test clean? I highly doubt it.

As I have said several times now, I don't believe this substance will cause a positive. However, until all these questions I have raised have been answered I don't recommend any driver subject to part 40 of the regulations should take this substance. Drug testing goes much deeper than just positives and negatives.

Remember the "poppy seed" arguments? It is not a myth that poppy seeds will leave trace amounts of banned substances in the body. The reason you can eat them is they don't cause the amounts in the human body to rise past these cutoff amounts.

I totally read your post and fully understand the information. I was providing my experience to the OP. That is why I stated their mileage may vary.

I have written an email to a person I am acquainted with that ( I hope) understands this substance better then I do. It will be Monday before I can get an answer. From some searching, I have discovered that this substance "depending" stays in the human body for an average of 8 to 10 hours. This is slightly longer than the average narcotic pain killer.

I am retired and no longer subject to testing. I am developing an interest in this substance for my pain. I am in a wheelchair today because of pain. In fact, I have been advised to smoke marijuana. I won't do that, but this substance I am going to check out.

I hope you can find something to help you with your pain. There are a ton of resources out there about kratom. Good luck with your search!

I have used kratom for several years to help with muscle spasms and chronic pain from a wreck i had as a teen. It works wonders for me, i mix the powder up in orange juice. Ive never been addicted and can take breaks whenever I need to. However i will say this I definatly look forward to a glass after a 15 hour shift in a truck with rubber block suspension.

As far as failing a test, if it did show up I would have not gotten any of the jobs I have had in the last 5 years

You dont have to smoke Marijuana to get the pain relief you want, real CBD oil offers all the pain reliefe I believe without the effects of THC.

My wife knows a lot more about it than me, but I believe Im correct on the info.

Mostly Red bali but im using a green strain right now that im happy with. The general consensus is reds are better for relaxing greens for energy and whites are a combination.

Just dont buy gas station kratom whatever you do. My brother got sick using that mess.

Kratom works. It has saved my life. Truly a miracle plant. Honest. I was (always will be) a hardcore alcoholic. I haven't had a drink in over a year and I feel like I have my life back. I never drove any truck with alcohol in my system, but I did drink EVERYDAY. Kratom took away my anxiety and desire to drink. It also helps with my nerve pain in my left leg.
Kratom tastes NASTY! But, it's effects are nothing short of amazing. Slight euphoria and feeling calm. Also, suddenly my nerve pain is gone.

As for showing up on a DOT drug screen, it shouldn't. I'm starting a new job next week and will have to take the pre-employment drug test, so I guess I will find out. I will report back here if they pop me positive for something, but I can honestly say that I have never used any prohibited drug that they screen for. So, I have a good argument for being "clean". I did pee hot once the day after I took a Percoset and the MRO just asked for a copy of my prescription. Never reported it to my employer. He said it was not a "positive" drug test because I had a prescription.

But as for Kratom, there shouldn't be anything in my urine in regards to metabolites because my body isn't breaking down anything that they are looking for. I guess I'll find out.

The problem with CBD products is that there is virtually no oversight on it's manufacturing. By law CBD products can contain no more than 0.3% THC. But there is no testing of these products and many will be higher. If a trucker is using one of these and gets tested, he may well fail. And there is no recourse if they do. SAP program or no more trucking.
The FMCSA had issued warning to companies and drivers about this.
