Just remember there are two layouts with skid steers. A stick for each side that goes front back only and foot controls for boom and bucket... And the other is right joystick controls fwd/rev and side/side left joystick does boom and bucket and right foot i think is a gas pedal.

You RRRREALLY want to know which setup youre in before moving on a trailer deck. It might even be wise to find out before unchaining. The operator manual may be behind the seat or nearby. If its a side entry or a mini ex, your left hand console usually lifts up and down and theres probably a red wigwag lever to move that unlocks the controls.

When did loader controls move to the left side? Backhoes, loaders, always been on the right of everything I’ve operated.....

I like the ISO? pattern (left joystick runs the work tools, right joystick for the drive). I hate the H pattern with 1 stick controlling each side and left-right on each stick running the work tools.

    Foot controls suck.

Sorry. Double post. Just for fun here is the world's longest truck. I took this picture in Williams, IA last week. Pretty cool truck with the extra steering axle in the middle. If you blow the pic up it's easier to see. IMG_20200430_180451.jpg

    And nobody died LoL.
The one back on the deck is the older style, 2 joysticks. Mo betta in my opinion for casual users
The one I left behind was the 2 one off, 1 stick pita. The digger was jumpy but at least I could drive forward off the ramp. Which was actually backwards and the sticks were opposite...but I could see where it was going.

For years I only ever used cats, got plopped in a new holland, and a deere at buddy's farm. Imagine jerking off with a fork and a spoon is what I looked like for a few hours.

These new machines with the electronic controls are the cat's ###. Push a button to change the pattern to whatever suits ya.

Still feel like I been run over. But need to get somethings done. This cold snap is killing me.

How ever spruced up the wife patio set for the front porch. Because I refused to let her buy new cushions. Should have let her buy them.

Really could use a few more coats. But that spray dye is some nasty stuff to breath in.
