I’m the only one that had a delivery today... slow week by the looks of it and as of right this minute my week is completed o_O

guess I better unpack the lawn chair and fire up the grill!

Looking at all the trucking companies hiring mechanics and I don't know if its worth heading to a fleet shop. Been in heavy equipment for the last 10 years and have a good idea of who's good and who to avoid. When it comes to strictly trucking operations I have no idea who's who. What are some signs that you should avoid a particular trucking outfit?

That's what I'm thinking. I've been in rodeo wrecks, car wrecks, played football. I dont think I ever had a pair big enough to want to try that. But neat to watch.

Not that I'm opposed to a dirty old garage. But anyone that tells you they are gonna build a new shop, is probably lying from my experience.

Some of these trucking outfits seem pretty skuzzy. My first job out of school was turning wrenches for a vac truck outfit. They had multiple locations and about 400 units in the fleet. Seemed like a safe bet. These 10-20 truck fleets I see hiring I don't know about. Come to work in the AM and find my toolbox gone or something lol.

Lets see. Bounces your first check and gets indicted for embezzling the volunteer fire dept may be a sign of instability. I didnt stay to find out.

Heck of a thing to watch. Check this one.

They are saying that injuries are rare. Seriously??? Christopher Reeves got paralyzed by falling off of a horse. These people are getting rammed off of a horse. Check out the girl at the 2:45 mark. One moment, she’s talking and smiling, the next moment she’s pulverized.

Interesting to watch. Rodeo is probably one of the purest sports there is. Rider/ bull/ time clock...doesn’t get much simpler than that.

Job market isn't so hot right now. I know I'll find something.

Honestly don't know how people can make welfare a career. I've gotta be productive or I feel like a POS.
