Not just yet...I have questions for the science community.

(raises hand) I have some question from the scientific community:
1. Overall, as the total person, what would you give yourself as a rating on a scale of 1-10, 1 being a sad case and 10 being Big Daddy Diesel status.

2. Does that sort of attention from women come frequently?
A. Never happened before
B. Happened a time or 2 long ago.
C. It happens.

3. The lady that called you beautiful, did it feel as if she wanted to hug you or eat you?

Look I'm no Mack guru. But my short opinion is to back injection timing up. Add more fuel. Well maybe just timing first. She will cool down and you will have less black smoke down the side of the trailer. Black smoke is fuel injected after or close to TDC and late, or way over fueling and burning in exhaust manifold or turbo. Neither is good. But I have been told I know nothing before.

Black smoke means nothing and its cash out of your pocket.

 

You have to understand there is the base engine timing, fuel pump to engine timing, and timing inside of that Bosch pump. Now it's been 22 years since I have done it and my Mack books are at the other garage. But check your pump to engine timing at flywheel. Kent moore has a sensor that screws into the gov housing and you compair it to flywheel marks.

No idea of name or complete process. Just what I recall.
