Have you talked to the shipper where you picked the load up? Was it new flooring? Kind of a strange load, wood flooring and plastic tubing. If it is not too far, you might be able to take the undamaged product back to the shipper for credit.

Shipper said it’s not there’s anymore and they wouldn’t take it back. They said they ship out and don’t take product back in.whoopNride Thanks this.

And yeah flooring was new straight from the shipper new. Tongue and groove.

#### thought that stuff needs a van since it’s rainy season.
Can you find out if the shipper requested a dry van or flatbed?
reason I ask is some brokers will put it on a different trailer just to move it. -
The whole point of tarping is to keep it dry

It was a flatbed load this shipper does not do van.

8 foot tarps and all. Got wet taking tarp off. Got cardboard boxes wet with tubing inside. But it wasn’t enough water to do damage. Have had wood now for 2 months still no sign of damage.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

And water must have gotten under it somehow from tires and road.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Yes it is important u bring excess tarp down and tuck it underneath freight the best u can. Otherwise it tends to ride upwards and then freight becomes exposed to road spray... do u have picsLoneRanger Thanks this.
