    Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a new enclosed headache rack (cab rack) with three compartments (cabinets), that can handle the day by day of the Northeast and handle a lot of weight. The one I have now is almost 4 years old, and has been re-welded a few times. Any opinions or recommendations on witch brand is built the best, and could possible handle some extra weight? It seems they all fail at the weakest point, the beams.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

We use sturdy lite out of Bristol TN. If our fleets can't mess em up too bad, they are pretty tough. Poor girl needs a wash.

But yeah, weve had a few hit by rebar and a few other things. And nothing has made it through yet. Ive personally witnessed one bend some of that rebar about an inch and a half thick. When someone forgot to account for the fact that he might have to turn at some point. Like leaving the plant. It dinged in the door but was pretty easy for the body shop to fix.

Dont think we have had a coil hit one yet. Only coil photo ive seen in recent years it fell off the side.

But yeah, they are atleast tough. 20200513_233823.jpg

I like the Merritt 3 door racks because they go all the way to the frame. Most racks are up on legs and have a lot of wasted space from the factory. The mount has a small crack on one side but they guys that installed it hacked the hell out of the bracket to fit around the fuel tank bracket.

I do like the boxes that go all the way to the frame in terms of extra storage but the downside is changing shocks/airbags/leveling valve on the bunk must be a PIA because the box has to be moved in order to access them?
