New HOS posted today

Now to see if the company ever gets arounfd to updating the elog to reflect the new rules....

 

In a nutshell, the modifications are:
1. Short haul goes from 100 air mile radius to 150 air mile radius.
2. The 16 hour on duty adverse driving condition rule also adds 2 hours to drive time.
3. The 30 minute break now includes On Duty time to allow for a reset, not just Off Duty/Sleeper.
4. The split sleeper allows for a 7/3 now, not 8/2.

 

On duty not driving allowed as 30 minute break will be nice, we'll see if it hangs around very long.

 

Hmmm cool. I never thought the HOS rules needed changes. The only change that I think is significant is that a split sleeper can also include 7 and 3

 

Great 300 gallon tanks are still useless!

 

I wish they would get rid of the 14 clock. That always seems to be the biggest ruiner of my day most of the time

 

Being limited on how much i can work in a day is the biggest ruiner.

 

Good news is the 30 min On Duty break will shorten the time waiting in line at the fuel island from 45 min to 30.

 

Anything that doesn't eliminate the absurdity of shutting down early then making you get up and drive at midnight when you get your recap hours back is a joke.
