We are placed in nice hotel. no double bunk in the two trucks i been in so far. one more full day to go. home friday afternoon/evening. Next week will be night time driving/on duty 9+ hrs im sure. i dont even know if im continuing to be honest. Would probably stay if i had my own truck assigned. Thorough cleaning different trucks and long hrs seems like it will be a headache for me.

Drivers use to do that, but if 1 of the others snitch on you. Or your caught on the phone while driving. By safety or whom ever and your phone records dont show it. They will escort you to the gate.

It's mainly because more drivers quit than they expected. WMT wanted the the higher paid older drivers out the door. All kinds of ppl in management were saying things like. Walmart wouldn't be in the financial trouble we are in. If the drivers weren't getting paid so much. Some left and came back claiming they could find anything worth while. But WMT started them from the bottom of pay scale again.

This along with drivers getting fired. Caused the turnover rate to go up. The Transportation department use to have very low turnover. But it has really changed now. It's some what an ok place to work. But most say they can do without the slip seating, phone policy, bigshot additudes of some of the drivers, the snitching from yard dogs and other ppl that see you on the phone, and etc.

Just to be clear, you CAN talk on the phone while driving. However, it must be a hands-free call, less than 10 minutes at a time, and no more than 60 minutes of talk time a day. Texting is another story.

Yes calls are ok as long as the driver doesn't have the phone up to his or her ear. Or isnt texting going down the road or while inside the DC lot. One could get by with maybe 11mins and 20 seconds call on the drive line. But not a 34min call while on the drive line.
