What I figured, bumper or step.

BTW, you shouldn't leave your blow money out in the open like that. Looks like ya hid the hooker money though, but still, be careful in these trying times.

Rebuilt less than 100k ago. Lowered comp 16.9 to 15.3 and 20% injectors, and S475. It has the Bosch P7100 with EDC gov housing. Same 12mm B/P with a helix cut retard for cold starts. It's a 9 pin Deutsch going in the gov housing and the TEM picks up its reading with a very sharp pointer on the tone ring. The 400 file in it (valve cover says 350 but pro link says 400). It has a 20° degree econovance, the data file is 17° full load 21° high idle and 8.5° static. So basically you get roughly 13° of possible timing differences.

We were able to fool the computer and change the timing (take tone wheel off, I'm sure you get the jist, that's all im giving away. Secret knowledge lol) so now we don't know how far advanced it is. It was too far retarded after rebuild with that much of a compression drop + injectors. It would stumble and smoke white under light, no load conditions.

We have a full mech P7100 that's been built by a guy that only does injection pumps. Still a 12mm setup and a few other mods. Bench tested at 535 or 550cc, think it was 535. We're going to retard the timing a tad more and if we can't get it right the mechanical is going on. Most likely it is, still waiting on some parts.

I know where the mech needs to be set right around 17-19 because before we fooled the timing it loved 17° Just hated the low rpm no load smoke and stutter. Even if you held it to the floor on a pull it would take forever for pyro to touch a 975-1000 and wont go higher. Post turbo probe. The older Ch's have one heck of a cooling system. Newer 99 we have is tiny in comparison.

I think im used to it just being super quiet from being slightly retarded for so long. If I had to guess me and the old both agree it's 22ish at most. The temps are almost the same has before. Water used to run 178 and now about 185ish. Oil avg temp now is 190ish. (For the record some of the early mechanical E-7s were 25° from the factory) and here I'll show you a 300 vmac1 file.

In 93, and just that one year for some reason, IDK why but 250-400hp all used same 16.9 piston.

I'd definitely know not to lug it. I grab half a gear once she's down to 1500. And it takes forever to spool with 1.32Ar but hang on once it does. You'd hate being behind me taking off. They've always been slow off the line LOL and .

Oh and she starts really really easy. Hardly touch the key and instantly fires. Even soaking in 10 degree weather all weekend not plugged in it still fires pretty quick. ( no plug where we park) but that's gonna change. All 6 fire rings were still good when we rebuilt it because of an internal crack in the head. Rods and mains looked really good for 900k on em.

Yep i think the 215 pump had that. The guy that did our pump just finished a 3 turbo 2500 5.9/ he said our 12mm 535cc pump he'd be well over 1100hp on a 5.9 with the right setup.

When I saw they were coming out with an old school 2v pushrod engine I never expected that. If they hold up good (I bet they do) I'd grab a 250 with one. Im looking at 150s but I doubt a reg model will ever get that. The 2011-2014 fx4 and up, maybe not the fx4 but the next trim level you could get the 6.2. My dad had one in a 250 working for Nabors and for that 4 door 8ft bed it had some real snap to it.

I love the LS motors. The company van when i was in the oilfield had 4 with over 300k on em. But so did a lot of the 5.4 Ford's. Few at Nabors had well over 300k on em
