    Yeah if the truck draws fuel from both tanks it will shut off if one tank runs dry... I have had it happen to me... Nothing worse than your engine chugging to a stop on the middle of a busy construction zone. Once was enough for me, I ALWAYS fill both tanks equally now.

    My Freightliner draws from the Drivers side. Also guage on Drivers side. I often only fill one. Prefer Drivers, but other side sometimes. Either way they slowly level out.
