OK I want a new radio and don't want to wait a year or have to know the secret handshake. I love my Magnum 680 but it is time for a new one. Where can I get one. I like the Stryker brand also a very big fan of President have an old Grant and it is one heck of a radio even at 30 plus years old it is still kicking. I had one of those Mirage's a few years ago you know the one that was the size of a 29 but I gave it to a very good friend of mine and I miss it.Does such a place exist. I just want a properly tuned good sounding strong radio for my pickup. Thanks

I had heard that you can't buy a new magnum radio anymore, but I'm not sure if that's true.
As far as getting a good tune, that is getting more difficult too, since a lot of good techs are getting scarce. Even Bells cb doesn't work on CB radios anymore, due to too much of a workload and can't keep up. A lot of these shops seem to be going to "if you buy a new radio from us, we will tune it" way of doing business. I personally would buy a new Pesident CB radio, if I was in the market. I like the new President Taylor radio. The only problem is that everyone seems to want a more powerful export radio today.

I know someone mentioned the at6666 as a am/ssb but just for am i think galaxy makes a nice lil 50ish watt that about cobra size..Stryker makes the 447hpc2,has alot of the same options as the 655/955..I love mine..
The finals should be changed out on the at6666 and stryker hpc2 and the cooling fins on backs of these radio are not the greatest..So ya cant crank the power and have no stop chatter..

If you're looking for a standard CB radio, check out the President AM/SSB radio here MC-KINLEY-ASC (12/24V) - AM-SSB-transceivers - CB-Radios - Group President Electronics USA or their AM Only rig WALKER II FCC - AM-transceivers - CB-Radios - Group President Electronics USA

Thanks Guys for the suggestions. Oh and yes AM not into SSB much anymore. I gave up driving 12 years ago for a shipping manager position so I just drive back and forth to work and want to be able to chat with my drivers around the yard.
