Less rotating mass. Flywheel is a bit heavier to make up for it. Paccars rev quick because of it

I thought the purpose of the counterweight is to offset the weight of the swinging rods and up and down motion of the pistons?

If you really wanna get worked up the new camshafts are hollow tubes with pressed on lobesSL3406, autopaint, daf105paccar and 5 others Thank this. -
SDP that had a recent rebuild. Determined there was an abnormally in the rod which fractured in two starting from the oil feed hole. New long block and back together.daf105paccar, Flint1, Shawn2130 and 3 others Thank this. -
