It might take 12-14 hours to pack up an load a 4 bedroom house. And then you can't stay in that neighborhood. They want you to wait until 7-8 am to show up and they want you out by 8-9pm. Not just out of the driveway, out of the neighborhood, out of town, just go away stinky trucker!

And because of NIMBYs, the nearest truckstop might be 3 hours away. So 4am until midnight? Logs? HA!

What is usually a easy 8 hour drive has turned into a Race for the finish 11 hour drive .

I have just shy of 2 hours left on my drive clock

It’s 11 pm and I have 2 hours to go and the last hour is down some winding sketchy backroads to the dairy in BFE.

I want to stop and sleep for 5 hours and get up at 4am rested than run in the last 2 hours of the trip , with an hour to spare for my 7 am appointment.

But no. Clock says use your drive time now.
