@Liahos my advice to you is sit back as long as you can let some of these offers come in but don’t wait in exorbitant amount of time as well and look over all the offers and see which one best fits you because never grab the first one that comes always look at all of them that come in and decide from there.

    And then there's this.........
Truckers suffer massive job losses in April |
The trucking industry suffered massive losses, totaling over 88,000 jobs being lost in the month of April according to data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Still awaiting the monthly press release from the ATA telling us about the driver shortage..........

There's no more new drivers. Robo trucks are replacing trainees.

The violins you hear in the background are for all the trainers that have pimped trainees.

Well, you good folks gave valuable advice and after Schneider put me 'on hold' I applied to several carriers and got four acceptances ... I pursued them all in parallel and finally went with SWIFT thinking they being the biggest will probably have more staying power if the economy gets weak. Any way, the orientation is over and I've got the job and all, but now I'm waiting to be matched to a mentor so I can begin my 200 hours of OTR driver training ... just waiting to be called to start. So far they are putting me up in a hotel near the terminal, but surely this can't go on ... is there a way to help find a mentor?

I've just wanted acceptance since I joined the forum.

Fortunately I've mastered being rejected. In fact I've turned it into an art.
