How long have you had that truck? Was the fluid changed at regular intervals? If I remember right? These trannys dont have a simple method of checking the fluid? No dipstick to check,so if theres a slight leak after a while...its pretty darn low on fluid.Maybe when you got it.Maybe new fluid and filter and linkage adjustments required(may be why it feels like its in neutral for a few seconds) Good luck

Yeah mine has a sight glass, it's pretty easy to check actually

The Warranty for an I shift transmission is 5 years from the in service date(picked up from the dealer I believe) or 750,000 miles whichever comes first. On the passenger side of the transmission, near the middle is a sight glass to check the transmission fluid level. I do it every month, if it is an older truck you can't see the condition of the oil really, just the level due to the sight glass clouding a bit due to wear and tear.
You can't do an transmission oil analysis unfortunately, and the oil must be replaced every 500,000 miles. It must be replaced during the warranty period preferably at a volvo dealership or the warranty is cancelled by volvo. Even with the cost of repair or replacement I consider the I shift an excellent deal due to the reduced wear and tear on the body(how much is a hip/shoulder/knee replacement?). Just drive the #### things gently and they will last. -

QUOTE="igorkoua, post: 5741245, member: 149983"]I have it for 3 years the oil change intervals on i shift 500 000 miles, there is sight window on tranny to check oil level and it was low when they changed clutch i add half gallon there was fitting on radiator not tied up, after that no leaks level if full, so you said that if I don't change oil it keeps my gear on neutral for couple second and it's trying to put it back couple times? Doesn't sound like....[/QUOTE] -
I have a 2015 Volvo d13 truck. It has 613000. The transmission light came on. The code is P105378. It’s saying the clutch plates. Wearing sensor. Do I need a new transmission? The only information I’ve got online is it might need a system programmed by Volvo. Anybody have this issue?

Depending on the repair needed you can walk out with a great warranty to back you ranging $6000-$15000k. Was the wiring to the TECU inspected? Any issues with the transmission other than the light?
