That’s more than I need to mess with.

As far as I’m concerned 5-7 axles is plenty. I’ll leave that sort of thing to the likes of Six and Big Ronny.

Thanks I do 2 or 3 of these a week. That’s the load I did so I could recalibrate my on board scales. Kind of nice having those.

    TripleSix Thanks this.

Is there any technical difference between a "pusher axle" and a "lift axle" when spec'ing a 4 axle tractor for HH use?

It’s a pusher Axel when it’s in front of the drive axel and a Tag axel when behind the driver axel they are both lift axels
For heavy haul they are in the pusher position and generally you will want the axel spacing at 54” for the tandem and the pusher, but state laws vary so it may depend on were you run

Axle spacing is very dependent on where you run - it can mean a impactful difference in allowable axle weight. 55” is probably a better choice for all around travel. In the northwest 60” will get a big bump in weight.

    TripleSix and cke Thank this.

    Will the machine be :
    #1 cleaned and
#2 sitting in a location where you can easily load it
#3 with all of its attachments
    #4 will it start?

    I really doubt it.

it makes me smile when I pull up to a machine looking like that. if they can afford to pay my hourly lowbed rate to shovel tracks, I'm happy to oblige.

Not only the hourly rate but the all the delay time for curfew missed and delivery restrictions the 2 hours of clean up could cost the customer 8 plus and the operator his job for not having it ready to move
