T880 hood

    I have a 2015 T 880. The hood supports have broke loose where the cylinder bracket attaches to the hood. Pulled out of the Metton material on both sides. Is there an economical fix besides replacing the hood?

    Seems to be a common issue with them. Our KW dealer has fixed at least four of them for fleet I work for. Body shop manager said they do a ton of them.

    Absolutely. It's called Metton. 3M and others have repair guides and materials for it. I know they added steel plate to the hood strut pockets on ours to make it better than original.
