Dumb as it may sound, I wouldn't be able to part with that. It'd most likely have a new home in my garage where I'd see it all the time.

Understood. Took a 40 yard dumpster out of dad's shop last year. Took 2 years of him gone to do it. I'm the only kid any of it means anything too. Could fill two more. You save the real stuff. But what was I to do with logbooks and settlements, ledgers dating to 1967?

Been there. The problem is, this isn't a one off. I have 2 buildings packed full of stuff like this. It's like diving into a OCD organized hoarder's house. Unfortunately, I'm at some degree just as bad keeping half broken things, and half started projects, but less organized.

I'll take 1967 log books and raise you 1917 arithmetic homework. Some of the stuff is easier to light the match, but then I find a crate full of something like aircraft parts that I'm clueless on. I'm not ambitious enough to track down buyers or interested parties, so I'm faced with either leave it be or scrap it.

My main race car is a 1969 Dodge Charger that is HEMI Orange. I have owned the car since my 17th birthday, July 24th, 1997. My dad gave the car to me as my 17th birthday present. It was his daily driver from May of 1980 to November of 1989 when he parked it. My parents drove to the hospital in this Charger when my Mom went into labor with me and I rode home from the hospital in this car too.

Right now as the car sits it runs 10.20's at 141mph. The motor is a 414cu. in. Stroked LA 360 with a heavily worked and CNC'd set of ProMaxx Cylinder Heads. Compression is set at 12.7:1 with CP Carillo pistons and a K1 Technologies crankshaft and connecting rods, balanced rotating assembly of course.

I run a an older MOPAR M1 4bbl intake with a 102mm throttle body and Fuel Injector Clinic 50lb. Per hour injectors. The fire is lit by an MSD Pro Billet distributor and an MSD Digital 7AL3 with 10mm MSD wires. Everything is controlled by a Holley Dominator ECU.

The cam I run as of now is a custom ground, 110° centerline, 258°/262° duration @ .050" and .618"/.642" lift with a 1.5 shaft-mounted rocker.

The trans is a 727-A with a Coan 4800rpm converter and a TCI reverse pattern manual valve body.

I run an 8¾ rear axle, "489" third member with 4.88 gears, Strange lightweight spool and gun-drilled
    40-spline axles on "green bearings".

The car sits on Weld ProStars and a Mickey Thompson 29.0x13.50x15 ET Drag.

At race weight with me in the car it weighs 3290lbs and runs 10.20's @ 141mph. The best to date is a 10.18 @ 143mph with a +185 DA. 1969 Charger.jpg IMAG0132.jpg michaels pics 163.JPG michaels pics 164.JPG

The green and white KW at 1:40. Service manager where I used to work was friends with the owner. Apparently she was (or was close to) a 6 figure restoration! I've seen many of those trucks in person. The blue W900A near the start I believe has a gorgeous KTA-19 under the hood.

It has been a great joy of my life next to my family. And it's always fun to come home and go drag racing!
