This is what happened to me at Doug Andrus. I couldn’t keep the trainer from messing with my logs on the Qualcomm.
I reported Doug Andrus to FMCSA and found a company that drove legally.
I didn’t have video of the trainer messing with the logs even though I didn’t approve them so FMCSA dropped the charges. Therefore video the trainer messing with your logs then report them. -
If the company is worried about an audit, they need to make sure both drivers have a card.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I don't believe what I am reading. The trainer isn't supposed to log off duty for those functions. Safety is taking time to call you back because they are probably looking at everything with a fine toothed comb. It's safe to say, they are going to have a conversation with that trainer.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Learn what you need to do, give these people a call. If you crash it will all be on you.

As a driver, YOU are legally responsible for ALL entries in your HOS records. If your logs have been altered in any way especially if it is in violation of the HOS rules I suggest contacting carrier safety dept! If they refuse to stop it I suggest contacting the closest regional office of the FMCSA with any evidence you have. You might as well go find another job too. While you are supposed to have protection, as they say, forgetaboutit! This is one line that YOU as a driver should NEVER allow anyone to cross.

Contact your carrier's safety department in writing, in a manner which you can retain a copy, e.g., text, email, hard copy (not just an internal system that they control and definitely not by phone only), and inform them of the unauthorized changes being made to your logs. If the SHTF, at least there will be record of you addressing the problem.
Yup, there will be fallout.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
