You can’t put chains on a propane truck cause of the potential sparks. So, if it’s that bad, you don’t go.
The hose is not that heavy. It’s easier than loading water hose .
HAZMAT (propane) or not?????

A company might have that policy, but it would be pretty silly, especially if they make deliveries in the winter... when people need their propane the most.tscottme and Roadgeek395 Thank this. -
I deliver propane for a living and I live in a snowy climate and chained up just about every day in the winter.haz-matguru and not4hire Thank this. -

Fuel is extremely dangerous. One exit ramp too fast and you can end up a fireball. Gotta bring your A game every day. And your employer might not give you 30 minute breaks considering on duty time counts. Just saying make sure the pay is there if it is anything like bulk chemicals.

I worked for Amerigas (and recently returned) and we don't use chains (in VA or Central NC at least). There is a chain holder on all trucks, but the chains never leave them for the tire. Basically, our policy is that if a place requires chains to go, then we just don't go. At one point someone mentioned chains were there to get you unstuck, not to travel with, but even that went to the wayside. We basically don't go on a road that would require chains. If we get stuck, we just hang out and wait for the tow truck.Roadgeek395 Thanks this. -
