We do the short haul door slamming van. Our steady. Is 700 on 168 and our other steady is 975 on 306mi. Anytime we get a re load close to house it's icing on the cake. Home daily. Get a better than avg rate running areas no one wants to run. NYC and North jerz metro area's, best drivers around/sarcasm

65% of the time we bounce back empty so we have a lot of empty miles. This week was 4150 on 1375 mi. 3.02 on all mi. Loaded both ways 4 out 5 days this wk. Best week since before the pandemic

Got a 125 increase on our steady. Was 850 on 306

All spot freight. Might have landed 2 direct customers. Fingers crossed, ships right in our back yard to our preferred lane

 

Can't give away the honey hole lol. We got it from old school 1st class A+ service. Were 1 call on both our regulars before they even will post it.

The old way of providing a good service for a good rate still holds true at these small mom and pop places (90% of our freight is small business). When the jersey steady opened back up broker called us and said he missed working with us. Never late never cancel and always communicate promptly with em.

 

@MACK E-6 I'm almost willing to bet the broker has 900 at the min on this (giving us 10 loads week sometimes. Im seeing loads one example kutztown pa to uxbridge mass for 1000 posted. Prob do 1125 or more. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Buffalo to NYC for 1900$ only 10,000 lb (liftgate van required) Im looking buy my 1st truck by the end of summer and my dad's looking for 2-3 more wagons.

You flatbed guys around ny area. Salt out of Lansing (cargil) 1150 posted going to maspeth out on the island. Betting you could squeeze em for 1350. Tolls 200$ minimum.
