I was at 80,240 through toll road 476 in PA, I know they check your weight to determine how much they’ll charge you. But does anybody know if they would give me a overweight ticket or would they let it go since it was not at a weigh station?

Did you get a cat scale?
If you are over a half tank put it on the drive and burn it down.nredfor88 Thanks this. -

Don't worry. They won't give you a ticket. Done it more than a few times.

Isn’t there a one percent variance ? I cant remember for sure. I would get my cat slip and burn as much fuel as I can.

Pennsylvania goes by weight. You have to be quite heavy to not get on the turnpike, but I'm not sure exactly what the limit is. Also, when being weighed on portables in Pa, the allow you a 3% variance. If you're registered and legal for 80,000 lbs, you can squeak by up to 82,400. If they get you on a platform, like on I-80 at the 56mm, all bets are off.
LTL Bull and shawnhhllc Thank this. -
I’ve gone down 476 from the top up off 81 down to the Landsdale exit at the bottom of the “toll” road at 106,000 pounds & never heard a word about it. Would have loved to see their faces when that ez pass bill came in lol
