Fresh thread because this is specific information, but it's riot related.
I've been thinking about how a rig can be disabled by someone on a catwalk, and it's not just a trick industry insiders would know.
So maybe a few passes around the glad hands with duct tape so people can't pop a line off when you get swarmed?
Tape up your glad hands?

I don’t think DOT is going to like that if you get inspected. Besides, they (rioters) can cut the lines easily if they want to disable your truck.

Well eventually I'll need to drop it again driver. More of a discouragement. I can slap off a red line with the palm of my hand.

Lol. Of course. Because they may not be able to stop the looting in the cities, but by golly, they're certainly going to make sure everyone's got the proper spacing on their reflector tape!MM71, stillwurkin, Dino soar and 6 others Thank this.

what "if" your brakes lock up, and your trailer is on fire, and you wanna save your truck.....you ain't gonna be able to think fast enough to cut the lines, cuz you're gonna jump out, forgetting you taped them....and you will lose valuable time looking for your knife, or cutting pliers.
i say go for it, then tell us how you lost your truck, in the fire as well.WildTiger1990 and Doealex Thank this. -
They can not like it all they want, but show me a regulation that says it’s illegal.Studebaker Hawk, MTN Boomer and okiedokie Thank this.

Good idea and couldn’t hurt to do this.
In this case one good thing about hollywood depictions of trucks is everytime the air lines are pulled off and the truck loses air the foot peddle is shown to go to the floor and the truck has no brakes and does not stop and plows into things and explodes. So hopefully that fear for the uninformed keeps it from happening. People do tend to believe what they see in film as the facts.HardwareHyena, 91B20H8, Dale thompson and 6 others Thank this. -
I umm, know from personal experience if you drive away from a trailer without disconnecting a glad hand,,, it tends to sort it self out PDQ (and goes on my damages file.)

If they were able to get up on your catwalk, you've already messed up. Might as well go ahead and get out of the truck, lay on the ground and tell them to start throwing bricks.
