The body’s all are the same. Some improvements were made in the Cab air ride. They also changed the front spring hangers, and hood mounts. I’m not sure when, maybe 03 or 04. I think def came out in 07, not sure. Chances are it will have a 14l Detroit series 60, You can do more research, and hone in on exactly what you’re looking for

Another difference is the bunk size. Standard is 70”, which is plenty big. There’s also an 84”, which is even better IMO. Most 70” are 265”wb, The 84s are usually 275” it seems, but are up to 285” wb. I’ve got a 01, 84” with a 285” wb. I had a 99 70” 265 wb. for 9 yrs. I’ve had this one for 11 yrs. It’s all the Truck I’ll ever need. Last Truck was on a hook twice, once when the engine blew, 6 mos later, when I totaled it. This ones never failed Me. Just did the second OH @ 2.1 mil miles. Still has all original front end parts, and rears. They’re very dependable. And not too complicated. Seems I can always keep it going, till I get it fixed. Always makes the trip.

I love the classics. That's exactly what they are... a classic. A sharp-looking truck with a nice padded interior and wood grain Dash. Nothing like the plastic junk trucks.
As far as turning radius you're talking about a giant truck with a set forward axle. It's just a given that you're not going to have a great turning radius. But they ride so nice.
Being that it is a Freightliner parts are plentiful and parts are affordable.
They are really cool trucks.Brettj3876, feldsforever, tommymonza and 1 other person Thank this. -
This is mine. Wasn't crazy about the cranberry fenders and tanks when I first bought it but it grew on me. I'm the second owner. Original owner spec'd it out pretty good. Has a 6nz, marine cam, turbo, tune, 18 speed. Just turned a million beginning of the year.

I think I've seen you around derailed.
A 70 inch is plenty for me. Interior space makes happy. One day I'm hoping to try and get a hot plate and soup pan.. The boss has a inverter in this truck. Its the first truck I've been in that has one. Being out for 3-6 weeks at a time, pb&j. Roman noodles. And tuna get old. Thanks everyone. Gonna go get woke up.Rideandrepair, Derailed and Brettj3876 Thank this. -
