If you have enough experience to get hired with UPS, you won’t beat the pay and benefits as a company driver. If you can’t look long term, IE 5-10 years, do not apply because the pay and schedule may not be great for a few years. It tops out at nearly $40 an hour and $120,000-$130,000 is very doable at full scale(5 years). They are supposed to be hiring several hundred in Louisville between the ground and air hub. Look specifically for Feeder Driver jobs as they have UPS Truckload jobs as well and they are not near as good of a job.SidewaysBentHalo and Ffx95 Thank this.

i currently have 3 years and 8 months experience i have tankers and hazmat on my Florida license. i know ill lose the endorsement once i transfer my cdl to Kentucky so i will get all the endorsement again. Thank you for helping out,

You won’t need hazmat at UPS parcel. If you can handle running team for a few years once you get hired full time that will be your most consistent schedule and pay until you get some seniority. They are currently hiring Peak drivers and all drivers that do a good job will get hired full time after working one or two peak seasons. Peak is for summer vacations and Christmas rush.

Glad I found this thread. I'm also a driver down here in S.Florida looking to relocate. (Considering the New England area .) Decent paying class a driving jobs where im at are very hard to come by. I've got my sights set on UPS. Question: Who is UPS Truckload under? Parcel or Freight? Independent Contractor?
-
Freight, but you may not want to waste your time with them as they really aren’t much better than a Mega Truckload job.
-
Maybe some accounts could be good, but Parcel, UPS Freight or practically any LTL would be a better choice than UPS truckload.
-
Stay away from Truckload.
Parcel>Freight>kick in the nuts>TruckloadKullenTrucking Thanks this.
