    Wait ... don't do that.

Go get yourself a couple gallons of trans fluid, throw them in your truck and drive.

If you get checked (which is very slim) then just act dumb, "well officer, I always put a gallon or two in my tanks to help my injection pump because I was told it helps it last longer" and I bet he would get a good laugh and let it go.

I know this works by the way.

Knew a mechanic that used to fill fuel filters with 50/50 AFT and Diesel when changing.

I've wondered if the redness is from the previous guy using ATF. But I'm doubtful thats the case.

Apprx 20 years ago my oldest son got his cdl through Millis. He went in for a service at one of their shops. After the oil was drained, they put a amount of the old oil right into his fuel tanks. I said, are you sure? He was positive as he watched them. I have never done that. But one would think that would surely change the color of your fuel. He did say it ran fine and no filter problems.

The further you run your tanks down the less red your new green fuel will look.

My last level 3 inspection in Nevada last November, the officer unscrewed my fuel cap and shined his flashlight in the tank. It still happens from time to time.
