idling

This is Truck Stop Lawyer speak! There is not 1 state or local law that OKs the idling of a truck because of the animal! Not a single one! You WILL be written up for the idling and you will be written up for animal cruelty if it's to hot! But there is no free pass with Poochie in the truck!

You can start with California and work your way east to NYC and as of this past spring ('09) those states will love to take your money! Do you actually think CA will allow you to idle with a dog in the truck? Not if it means money in their pocket it doesn't! That goes for all the other states! Don't go buy Poochie thinking you can idle just because someone says you can! Check it out! And then sigh in relief!

 

Geeze Rollover, was there a yellow liquid on your Wheaties this morning, or what. The point of my post was simply that animals are often treated better than truck drivers....Ya get it. I am not a lawyer, DOT, police officer, Navy Seal, US Marshall or Supreme Court Justice. Have a good weekend.....

 

Well, the first clue on this post was that the driver works for PTL---just check out their newsletter...negative propoganda against drivers and embarrasing them. I took a look at them when I was looking at going back to driving again. Needless to say, I went elsewhere. PTL is NOT a driver-friendly company, and unfortunately the tide has turned in that direction with the majority. Hope everything works out for the driver here.

 

Well his points are completely valid. People who don't know what the hell they are talking about should not be passing on this Truck Stop LAW to others who may not know any better than to believe a bunch of BS.

 

Yeah I guess I did come off a "little" rough but this is one subject that has been a thorn in not only MY side but many others! I've paid MY idling tickets and won't ever again! But one of the things that really gets me mad IS the drivers who tell you to get a dog and actually mean it! But as jtrnr said, animals are treated better under the law than truck drivers! And that's the truth! Heck that cop (where was it? Long Island or Miami) who left this POLICE dog in the car and it died! I'm wondering if he was charged with homicide on a police officer like one of us would have been if he sicced him on us and he was killed? or just animal cruelity?

But I guess as long as they have food on the table who cares about the trucker!

What's this have to do with idling a truck? Go buy a truck if you cant find anyone to meet your special needs. As for idle policies if it's abusive and unreasonbale it's time to move on.

 

I say if he was to have a heat stroke you could own a trucking company

 

now PTL is one of those companys that give you rose colored glasses when you fill out the aplication as soon as your hired those glasses seem to self destruct, in other words they lie like a big dog and they have an answer for everything but not one answer that will be in your favor and by the way the could care less what the law says they just do it there way and THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE DRIVER.
my advise to you is find another company quick before they get you in troubel. GOOD LUCK. ----sothernpride

 

now i hope im posting this in the right place any way im sure the p;oint will come across.
1st , most companys wont allow a dog in a truck for the simple reason ther hard on the ac and even can damage the unit . a dog or a cat sheds hair aint nothing you can do about it there gonna shed hair now where do you think all this hair goes, in the ac and after a while it stops the unit up and you wont get any cold air and guess who has to fix the ac yep the owner of the truck, now that is not cheap and when you add the down time for the truck it can get rather expensive and the dog lover pays nothing all they do iis complain and cry because they cant put there animal in the truck , well contrary to popular belief the truck is not a zoo and a truck is for drivers thats what they were made for, if one of my drivers come to pick up one of my trucks and he shows up with a dog , a cat . a snake, or a #### lizard , he is sent home he wont be driving any of my trucks.
as far as ciggerets if you would stop whinning and watching to much tv you woud make a lot more money and probably keep a job a lot longer cigerets were here befor you came and will be here after your gone nothing you or the govermentr can do about it i dont care if the goverment raises the price to 10.00 a pack i can afford to pay for there stupid laws.
quite frankly i am tired of all the tobaco thumpers not to mention the liberal pet lovers and the bible thumpers i simply dont want to here it and that is my right contary to the liberal beliefe animals are not woth more then people and as a matter of fact if i have offende any of you thumpers im glad. have a nice day trying to change the world.----southernpride
